Below is the poem entitled A Warrior’s Destiny which was written by poet Robert Lindley.

Warrior

Swift blow from cutting sword he fell back
protecting all held so dear from vicious attack.
His great valor and bravery did not sustain
the images of victories he sought to claim.

All consuming darkness became his fate
as he fell to journey to his next gate.
Above his fallen body I did quickly kneel,
another blow his fate did it mercilessly seal.

Far greater many have courageously done
rejoicing in sweet victories so fairly won.
Yet somewhere in many well beloved lands,
others strike for their own freedom stands.

Into the battle and sweet victory that day,
found was , dear sacrifice is the only way.
For one must live by an honorable code
as did the great warriors in the days of old.

Die if you must but live, live if you can,
courage rebukes death in the heart of man.
Sacrifice for the love of others must stand
as were mighty blows from Thor’s right hand.

Fear not the fine light of the coming morn,
fate may yet send sound of Gabriel’s horn.
You may live many more precious years
with memories of blood, sweat and tears.

Should darkness so sadly cover your eyes,
truth shall evaporate with all man’s lies.
You will find that the life we so dearly love
was indeed a blessing from God above.

This was written from memories of a dream I had many times long ago in my youth.
Not sure it is from a past life but it was very, very real and made a very deep impression on me at the time. Deep enough that I wrote this from memory only six weeks ago!
In that dream (past life) the warrior was me!
