My Thanks to all of you…
Let every American learn, from his earliest
years, to love, cherish and obey the Constitu-
tion. Without this he can neither be a great nor a
good citizen; without this his name will never be
engraved with honor in the pages of our history,
nor transmitted, like that of Washington, with
praises and blessings to a late posterity.
As a way of saying thanks to everyone who takes time to visit Maiden on the Midway I’d like to offer you a free downloadable PDF of The Pocket Catechism on the Constitution, originally published in 1828! I’ve been reading it and it explains how and why our constitution works that’s easy to understand. Click here to download your copy now.
Freedom isn’t free…
This is my small way of saying thank you to those who have served in the past, those who currently serve, and to the families who share their loved ones with us all. As a reminder of the sacrifices so many have made, please feel free to download, share, and enjoy these wallpapers. Read more

Sesame Street: Resource Kit For Grieving Military Families That We Wish Didn’t Have To Exist
Sesame Workshop, the non-profit behind the long-running children’s television icon “Sesame Street,” has released an appropriately somber, but perhaps incredibly helpful, resource kit for grieving military families.
The kit, titled “When Families Grieve,” is part of Sesame Street’s Military Families initiative, which began in 2006. “Now, in continued support of military families, Sesame Workshop addresses the difficult subject of the death of a parent,” the packet states in its introductory materials.
Included in the kit are a DVD for helping explain the loss of a loved one to children, a children’s book, and an in-depth pamphlet for adults that explains how best to cope with grief with a child. Read more
